The City’s Corporate Pancake Day Race was back again this year. Despite the mud and a cold wind, the rain didn’t stop play and the sun made a brief appearance. The Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr. James Lancaster and Deputy Lieutenant Francesca Skelton who were our race starters on the day, presented the winning teams with their inscribed pancake pans. Congratulations to Mercer and Hole, who retained their title as winners of the Corporate Pancake Race for another year and the team from Camphill Community who won the para-Pancake Race.
This annual City event which raises money for the MK Rose Trust is organised by partners The Milton Keynes Rose Trust and The Parks Trust. There was a great atmosphere with music, plenty of hot coffee and pancakes and a great sporting rivalry between our teams from Geoffrey Leaver, Howes Percival LLP, Mercer & Hole, Opus Business Advisory Group, HCR Law, Mechline Developments Ltd, EMW Law, Kirkby Diamond – Eddisons, Freeths LLP, Advania, Moorgate Finance, and the Parks Trust Volunteers and Trustees. We were delighted to have teams from Camphill Community and MK SNAP in our para-Pancake Race. Congratulations and thank you to all those who took part in the competition and for the great support from everyone who attended to cheer on the teams. We hope to see you again next year!
