Saturday 8 March 2025 was International Women’s Day and the theme for 2025 was Accelerate Action. The first International Women’s Day was held in March 1911. It is a day of collective global activism and celebration that belongs to all those committed to forging women’s equality.
To mark the date this year, there were a number of activities across Milton Keynes. The Breeze Group organised a women’s cycle ride encouraging women and girls to be active through cycling which stopped at the MK Rose. Riders were accompanied by our cycling Milton Keynes Mayor, Cllr. Marie Bradburn and were joined at the Rose by members of the Milton Keynes Youth Council and the Ukrainian Appeal Charity.
