Rev David Moore of the Methodist Church came to The Church of Christ the Cornerstone, Central Milton Keynes in the early 1990s. The Church was the first Ecumenical City centre church in the UK and David joined colleagues from the Roman Catholic faith, the Baptist Union, the Church of England and the United Reformed Church in working together to share the space.
David played an active part in city life, including supporting the arts and community. He became a deeply valued Founder Trustee of the Milton Keynes Cenotaph Trust. At the Groundbreaking Ceremony ahead of construction of the Milton Keynes Rose, David gave the following prophetic address. Adding David to the Founders Role in 2024, we have looked back and marvelled at his words, vision and foresight.
